Special Intro to Paper Mini Sessions

$20 Mini Session

See what you can do in one hour! This quick mini-session is designed to pique your interest in making Western-style paper with moulds and deckles. If you fall in love and want more, join a full class on SAT AUG 13 or SAT AUG 20 (see below). Paper needs to dry overnight. You must come to pick up your paper on FRI AUG 19 between 9-3 pm. No previous papermaking experience is necessary.

Intro to Papermaking Full Classes

Saturday, August 13 and August 20

9 am to 12 pm

1-day session $45 (includes $15 material fee)

Learn to create unique sheets of (Western-style) paper with moulds and deckles and a variety of fibers pulped in a Hollander beater. Be prepared to get wet, have fun and make sheets of paper that can be used for drawing, painting, printmaking, and 3-D constructions. No prior experience necessary. Open to beginners and advanced paper makers.  

Paper will need to dry overnight. Paper must be picked up on Monday, August 15 (for Sat 8/13) or Monday, August 22 (For Sat 8/20) between 9-3 pm.

Limited to 6 participants. Minimum of 4 necessary to run the course.
